Imaging the retina.
The smart phone can be used to image and record the retina using both direct visualisation of the retina (as we do with direct ophthalmoscopy) and indirect visualiasation of the retina using the phone camera with a diagnostic lens (as we do with indirect ophthalmoscopy).
